Fair Play System

Blind reviews between athletes and organizers, and conduct cards that reward sportsmanship.

What is the Fair Play System?

When each event ends, a review window opens: you rate the event and the organizer and the organizer can record conduct cards about your participation. By default, every athlete keeps a clean record. The organizer only steps in to highlight exemplary attitudes or record infractions.

The window runs blind for 7 days: neither side sees the other's submission before the window closes. Your review is never influenced by the cards, and the cards are never influenced by your review.

The three cards

White Card

Recognizes exemplary fair play attitudes: helping a participant in trouble, returning lost property, supporting the organization. It is a permanent achievement on your profile.

Permanent achievement

Yellow Card

A warning for a light infraction: littering outside authorized areas, disrespect for schedules, improper language. It counts for 12 months.

Counts for 12 months

Red Card

Records serious infractions: violence, course cutting, giving your bib to a third party, fraud. It requires a detailed description of the incident from the organizer and counts for 24 months.

How does it work?

1

The event ends

As soon as the event finishes, the 7 day review window opens. You receive an email inviting you to review your participation.

2

You rate the event and the organizer

You give 1 to 5 stars to organization and logistics, safety and course, and prior communication, plus an overall rating for the organizer. You can add a public comment and a private one for the event team only.

The review is final: once submitted it cannot be changed.

3

The organizer records exceptions

During the same window, the organizer can assign white, yellow or red cards to athletes whose conduct stood out, for better or worse. With no cards, your record stays automatically clean.

4

The window closes and everything becomes visible

Averages and public comments appear on the event and organizer pages, and you are notified by email of any card assigned to you. If you submit your review before the window closes, your cards are revealed to you at that moment.

What effects do the cards have?

Organizers of future events see a badge with your history: fair play highlight, exemplary athlete, attention or risk.
An active White Card cancels the effect of your oldest active Yellow Card. Good deeds pay off.
Each organizer can configure the automatic refusal of registrations from athletes with active red cards (or yellow and red), on individual and group registrations alike.
Effects expire on their own: 12 months for yellow, 24 for red. White Cards stay forever as achievements.

Disagree with a card?

You can dispute a Yellow or Red Card within 5 business days of the notification, in the Fair Play area of your account. The dispute opens a support request reviewed by Stop and Go, never by the organizer who assigned the card. While it runs, the card keeps its effects; if it is revoked, it stops counting for everything.

A public profile, only if you want it

You can enable a public page with your name, photo and fair play achievements. It is strictly optional, requires your express consent and can be disabled at any time. No sanction is ever shown publicly.
