Gift a Registration
You buy the entry and gift the code. The person who receives it does the registering.
What is a gift registration?
You pick a track, pay the current phase price, and we generate a gift code for you to hand to whoever you want to treat. That code is what they use when they register themselves.
Think of it as a gift card: buying the gift registers nobody. The registration only exists once the recipient completes it, on their own account, entering the code.
Price locked in
The gift covers the entry on the chosen track, even if the price moves to a higher phase later.
Delivery your way
You always get a printable PDF and a shareable image. If you prefer, we send it by e-mail or SMS for you.
Validity
The code is valid until registrations for the event close. After that it expires.
Single use
Each code covers one registration. Once redeemed it cannot be reused.
How does it work?
You pick and pay
On the event page, open "Gift", choose the track and pay by Multibanco, MB WAY or card.

You get an order reference. That is not yet the gift code.
You receive the code
As soon as the payment clears we generate the gift code and e-mail it to you, with the PDF and the shareable image.
You hand over the gift
Give the PDF, the image or just the code to the person you are treating. If you prefer, at checkout you can ask us to send it directly by e-mail or SMS.

They register
The recipient creates an account (or signs into theirs), opens the event registration, picks a track and enters the code in the voucher field. That is when the registration is made.
What this feature does not do
It registers nobody. Buying the gift creates no registration, neither yours nor the recipient's. It only generates the code.
You cannot use the code on your own registration. The gift is meant for someone else, and the platform refuses the code if you try to apply it to an entry in your own name.
It does not register another athlete on their behalf. They register themselves, on their own account, because only they hold their own details, category, emergency contacts and insurance data.
It does not reserve a place. If the event sells out before the code is redeemed, the gift does not turn into a place, a credit or a refund.
What if the recipient wants a different track?
Order reference ≠ gift code
They are two different codes and this is the most common source of confusion. Only the second one can be redeemed.
POF-XXXXXXX
Identifies your order for payment and customer support. It appears right after checkout, before you pay. It redeems nothing.
OFRXXXXXX
This is the redemption code. It is only generated once the payment clears, and it is what the recipient enters in the voucher field during registration.
Code coming up as invalid?
You are using the order reference. If the code has a hyphen and starts with POF, that is the payment reference. Look for the code without a hyphen, starting with OFR, in the confirmation e-mail or the PDF.
The payment has not cleared yet. The gift code is only generated after the payment settles. With Multibanco this can take a few minutes.
The code has already been used. Each gift covers a single registration. Check "Gifts I bought" in your account to see whether it is already marked as redeemed.
You are trying to use it on yourself. The code can only be redeemed by someone else; hand it to the person you want to treat.
Registrations for the event have closed. The code is valid until registrations close and expires on that date.
